Job Title: Marine Service Engineer
Location: Antwerp, Belgium
The Opportunity
A global leader in marine electronics is strengthening its European service network and investing in additional headcount in Antwerp. These are growth roles driven by sustained demand rather than attrition. With vacancies historically hard to fill in certain regions and relocation proving costly and slow, securing locally based talent in key ports has become commercially critical. This position places an experienced Marine Service Engineer at the centre of vessel uptime, customer retention and revenue protection across a strategically important hub.

The Impact You Will Have

  • Take full ownership for installation, service and repair of navigation and communication systems onboard commercial vessels in and around Antwerp
  • Protect service revenue by diagnosing and resolving complex electronic faults quickly, accurately and safely in port and at sea
  • Act as the onboard authority for RF, electronics and software, ensuring first time fix wherever possible
  • Represent a globally recognised service brand to shipowners and managers, building long term relationships and repeat business
  • Provide detailed technical reporting and feedback that inform wider service planning and capability across Europe

What Success Looks Like

  • 3+ years proven experience as a Marine Service Engineer / Marine Electronics Technician in commercial shipping
  • Strong electronics theory and practical skills, comfortable with schematics, PCBs, RF and software loading / updates
  • Proficient in English (spoken and written) and able to operate confidently with international crews and technical teams
  • Physically fit and willing to work aloft, carry 10–23 kg and handle exposure to weather on board
  • Calm, self-sufficient and commercially aware, with a track record of delivering reliable service under time pressure

What Is on Offer
Competitive salary with significant earnings upside through overtime, plus the stability of a low attrition, long established global business. Engineers benefit from ongoing factory training, access to parts, technical support and efficient administration so they can focus on high value work on board. Clear technical progression exists from junior through to the most senior engineer levels, making this a long term career platform rather than a short term berth.
Applications are invited from high performing marine electronics professionals already succeeding in the commercial shipping market who are ready to step into a role with real regional impact.
