Job Title: Director of Business Development, APAC Location: Singapore
The Opportunity
Our client has moved from early adoption to being selected by some of the world’s most recognisable shipowners and operators and is now in an aggressive scale up phase. Their AI driven fleet intelligence platform is changing how shipping manages safety and operational risk, and they are rapidly winning competitive tenders with major names across segments. To capture this momentum in APAC, they need a senior, quota proven software sales leader in Singapore to own regional new logo growth. This is a Director title, but a fully hands on individual contributor role at the sharp end of the company’s expansion.
The Impact You Will Have:
– Own APAC new business, converting a differentiated product and recent flagship wins into substantial recurring revenue.
– Target, open and close strategic deals with leading shipowners and managers.
– Position AI powered visual intelligence as a new standard for safety and performance in the region, challenging incumbent ways of working.
– Bring structured, data led market feedback into commercial and product discussions, directly influencing where the company bets next.
– Set the performance bar for the APAC sales organisation, with clear potential to evolve into broader regional leadership as headcount grows.
What Success Looks Like
– Clear, numerical track record of beating demanding software or SaaS quotas into maritime clients, not just nurturing existing accounts.
– Deep experience running full cycle, consultative sales into shipowners and managers in APAC, ideally across several vessel types.
– High energy, pace and resilience suited to a growth culture.
– Credible network across the Singapore and wider APAC maritime ecosystem that translates into meetings and qualified pipeline quickly.
– Hands on, deal focused mindset: comfortable being the senior seller in the region today, with the ambition to grow as the business scales.
