Job Title: Director of Origination, Corporate Lending

The Opportunity
A Madrid private debt platform has already proven it can connect debt funds, banks and insurers with mid-market borrowers on tickets of €5m to €70m, and it earns across the life of each financing, not only at close. Having moved beyond renewables project finance into corporate direct lending, the founders now want a senior originator they can put in front of the market and hand origination to. This hire decides how fast that book grows.
The Impact You Will Have
• Own corporate origination across Spain: HoldCo, standard corporate and sponsor-guaranteed structures
• Build a pipeline of mid-market borrowers that banks underserve and advisers rarely reach
• Bring structure and strategy to a small origination and structuring team
• Take over borrower and investor relationships the founders hold today
• Shape the move beyond renewables into wider sustainability-linked corporate credit
What Success Looks Like
• You have originated directly with clients, rather than waiting for deals to arrive
• Sound corporate or leveraged finance credit judgement, from term sheet to close
• A personal network across Spanish mid-market companies, sponsors and lenders
• At ease in a founder-led, technology-driven team where pace matters
• Project finance knowledge is useful, not essential
