Job Title: Technical Project Manager
Location: Hamburg (Barsbüttel), Germany
The Opportunity:
Our client integrates satellite and navigation communications into naval vessels, government platforms and commercial fleets, with live integration programmes running alongside German shipyards. The seat has been empty since the summer but the projects have not slowed. The business needs an experienced project manager who can take the lead on active customer programmes within weeks, not months.
The Impact You Will Have:
- Own SATCOM and NAVCOM integration projects end to end, from pre-sales costings and BOMs through installation and handover
- Run the weekly progress reviews with government, naval and shipyard customers
- Hold the line on scope when requirements start to creep, and keep the customer onside while you do it
- Get engineering, field service and logistics delivering to your milestones
- Help shape how through-life support works once systems are in service
What Success Looks Like:
- Proven project management on customer-facing technical projects, ideally for military or government end users
- Comfortable with the documentation and rigour defence customers expect
- Organised across several live projects, proactive, and steady under milestone pressure
- A strong communicator in English, working daily with an international project team
- Service or systems engineers from marine electronics who have already run projects are welcome
