Job Title: Service Engineer
Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands | ARA Region
The Opportunity
An established maritime technology group is investing in the continued growth of its service operation across the ARA region following sustained expansion of its customer base. Supporting thousands of vessels worldwide and forming part of a wider global maritime communications and technology organisation, this hire represents an opportunity to join a business operating at the forefront of vessel connectivity, navigation and operational performance.
This is not a maintenance-focused field service role. It is an opportunity to become a trusted technical partner to shipowners, operators and crews, delivering expertise that directly influences vessel safety, compliance and operational continuity across some of Europe’s busiest maritime hubs.
The Impact You Will Have
• Act as the technical representative for customers across the ARA region, strengthening long-term relationships and trust.
• Deliver critical fault resolution and compliance services that minimise vessel downtime and operational disruption.
• Support major retrofit and commissioning projects from installation through to sea trials and successful handover.
• Contribute to the adoption of next-generation maritime navigation and communication technologies.
• Play a key role in supporting the growth of a business experiencing increasing demand across its regional customer base.
What Success Looks Like
• Proven experience installing, maintaining or troubleshooting maritime navigation and communication systems.
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding capability with a methodical approach to problem solving.
• Credibility and professionalism when engaging with customers onboard and ashore.
• A proactive mindset with the ambition to continuously develop technical expertise.
• Comfortable operating autonomously while contributing to a close-knit, high-performing team.
What Is on Offer
• A clear pathway to develop within a globally recognised maritime technology group.
• Exposure to leading bridge electronics, navigation and communication systems.
• Continuous certification, training and professional development through dedicated learning platforms.
• Direct access to decision makers within a flat and collaborative organisational structure.
• Company vehicle, pension scheme, technology package and additional employee benefits.
This opportunity is best suited to engineers who take pride in technical excellence, enjoy working close to customers and want to build their career within a business that continues to invest in both its people and its technology.
