Job Title: M&A Transaction Specialist (Renewable Energy/Infrastructure)

Location: Wiltshire, Hybrid working – 2 days a week in the office

Who are we recruiting for?
A successful, UK-based renewable energy investor, developer, and adviser with a strong track record of completing and developing investment opportunities across the UK and Ireland. Their agile, high-performing team is recognised for delivering complex projects from inception through to operation, and they are now looking for a determined and motivated M&A Associate to strengthen their growing Wiltshire office.

This is a hands-on delivery role where financial modelling will be at the heart of your work. You will:

  • Build, run, and optimise complex financial models to evaluate transactions, deal structures, risks, and returns.

  • Take ownership of the numbers underpinning acquisitions, disposals, and partnerships in renewable energy and infrastructure.

  • Provide clear, insightful analysis to senior decision-makers and deal leaders.

  • Draft and review commercial documentation such as NDAs, term sheets, and SPAs.

  • Prepare investment papers and impactful presentations for board-level discussions.

  • Work closely with internal and external stakeholders including legal, technical, and banking advisers.

  • Contribute to continuous improvements in internal modelling standards and transaction processes.

Are you the ideal candidate?

  • Approximately 3-4 years’ experience in transactions, M&A, or financial modelling, ideally from a Big 4, major advisory firm, or a comparable commercial environment.

  • Extensive hands-on modelling experience with evidence of building, optimising, and stress-testing financial structures.

  • Clear evidence of “coal face” transactional work – you have been directly involved in live deals, not just supporting from the sidelines.

  • Experience preparing materials for, and working closely with, senior deal-makers and decision-makers.

  • Exposure to renewable energy, infrastructure, or adjacent sectors is desirable, but strong modelling and M&A experience is key.

  • Must be willing and able to attend the Bristol office regularly (local or commutable candidates prioritised).

What’s in it for you?

  • Competitive salary of £80,000-£100,000 DOE.

  • Strong career progression within a growing investor/developer platform.

  • Exposure to high-value, high-profile renewable energy and infrastructure deals.

  • A collaborative, motivated, and supportive team environment.

  • Opportunity to contribute directly to the UK’s clean energy transition.

  • Office-based culture with the benefits of close-knit teamwork and strong deal flow.
