Title: PPA Origination Manager

Our client is a fast-growing renewable energy platform with a strong presence across European markets, focused on the development, acquisition, and operation of clean energy and storage assets. Backed by a leading infrastructure investor and supported by long-term institutional capital, the business is exceptionally well positioned to continue scaling its footprint across multiple geographies and technologies.
With a rapidly expanding pipeline and a clear build-out strategy, the platform is playing a key role in the energy transition. The business is now looking to strengthen its commercial capabilities through the appointment of a PPA Origination Manager, responsible for securing long-term offtake agreements and optimising revenue strategies across its growing portfolio.
What will you be doing:
- Originate, structure, negotiate, and execute Corporate PPAs, Utility PPAs, and route-to-market agreements across European power markets.
- Develop and maintain relationships with corporate offtakers, utilities, energy traders, suppliers, brokers, and strategic market participants.
- Identify new commercial opportunities and build a pipeline of prospective PPA transactions.
- Lead commercial negotiations covering pricing structures, tenor, settlement mechanisms, credit terms, and contractual risk allocation.
- Work closely with development, investment, finance, and asset management teams to ensure commercial strategies support project financing and long-term value creation.
- Analyse wholesale electricity markets, merchant price forecasts, regulatory developments, and market trends to support commercial decision-making.
- Support project bankability by developing revenue strategies aligned with financing requirements.
- Collaborate with external advisors, legal counsel, and internal stakeholders throughout the transaction process.
- Represent the business at industry events and continue expanding relationships across the European renewable energy market.
Are you the ideal candidate?
- 5+ years’ experience in PPA origination, power markets, energy trading, commercial development, or renewable energy commercial roles.
- Experience negotiating Corporate PPAs, Utility PPAs, route-to-market agreements, or structured energy offtake contracts.
- Strong understanding of European electricity markets, merchant exposure, pricing mechanisms, balancing markets, and renewable energy regulation.
- Previous experience within a renewable energy developer, IPP, utility, energy trader, or power marketing organisation.
- Good commercial understanding of solar, wind and ideally Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS).
- Strong negotiation, relationship management, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Commercial mindset with the ability to balance risk, revenue optimisation, and long-term strategic objectives.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage both technical and commercial stakeholders.
- Fluent English is essential; additional European languages such as French, Italian or Spanish would be advantageous.
- Comfortable working within an international, entrepreneurial, and fast-growing environment.
