One business that is keeping pace is a well-capitalised, institutionally backed renewable energy platform with an established solar portfolio and a clear mandate to build out battery storage across Spain and Italy at scale.
The BESS pipeline exists. The capital is committed. What is needed now are developers on the ground who can turn market presence into real projects. This hire sits at the intersection of business development, project development and market intelligence, with genuine responsibility for moving storage opportunities from origination through to investment readiness. It is a role for someone who wants to build, not just deliver.
The Impact You Will Have
- Drive BESS origination across greenfield, co-development and partnership routes in Spain or Italy, turning early-stage opportunity into credible pipeline
- Own the local developer and landowner relationships that give the platform first-mover access to the right sites and the right partners
- Steer projects through critical development milestones including grid strategy, site maturity and route to financial close
- Act as the in-country BESS authority, shaping how the platform approaches the market and challenging assumptions as the strategy evolves
- Accelerate a storage pipeline that sits at the centre of the platform’s next phase of regional growth
What Success Looks Like
- A track record of developing utility-scale energy projects from early-stage origination through to credible investment opportunities
- Commercial instinct matched by project development discipline, comfortable owning both conversations
- Experience operating in growth environments where process is still being shaped and initiative is rewarded
- The credibility and presence to represent a serious business externally and build trust quickly with developers, partners and local stakeholders
- Motivated by pace, autonomy and the opportunity to leave a visible mark on a market position that is still being defined
