Job Title: Asset Manager

Who Are We Recruiting For?
Our client is a strong, award-winning international renewable energy company with operations across 9 countries, specialising in photovoltaic electricity production and energy storage. With a vibrant, fast-growing team and a unique commitment to the energy transition, this assured business is scaling rapidly. They are now seeking a qualified, motivated Asset Manager to join their inspired and determined Asset Management team, taking ownership of an active Iberian and Italian solar portfolio.

What Will You Be Doing?
As a successful Asset Manager, you will lead and drive performance across a diverse and growing solar portfolio spanning Iberia and Italy. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Identifying, consolidating and managing risks across the portfolio – including market, regulatory, contractual and technical dimensions
  • Monitoring and analysing the operational performance of solar assets throughout their full lifecycle
  • Overseeing the financial performance of SPVs, including P&L optimisation, budget monitoring and debt coverage
  • Preparing and chairing SPV governance bodies including boards, executive committees and general meetings
  • Ensuring full compliance with legal and contractual obligations toward co-investors and third parties
  • Managing asset management contracts and maintaining a structured view of all contractual commitments
  • Supporting the project finance process in conjunction with the finance team
  • Leading post-incident remediation, managing claims, disputes and insurance matters
  • Acting as the direct point of contact for co-investors, facilitating and supporting co-investment partnerships
  • Preparing regular performance reports for management and stakeholders
  • Coordinating retrofit planning and execution across the portfolio
  • Travelling regularly to the headquarters for team collaboration and to asset locations as required

Are You the Ideal Candidate?
The ideal candidate will be a brave, results-driven professional who combines strong financial acumen with solid technical understanding of solar assets. You will demonstrate:

  • Approximately 10 years’ experience in the renewable energy sector, with at least 5 years in an Asset Management function
  • A master’s degree in finance, engineering, or business
  • Solid expertise in financial analysis and asset valuation
  • A balanced technical and financial skill set, with the ability to interpret operational asset performance data
  • Experience using BI and reporting tools for performance monitoring
  • Proficiency in Excel and standard Office tools
  • Fluent English (essential); fluent Spanish or Italian (essential depending on location); French is a valuable bonus
  • Strong interpersonal and cross-functional collaboration skills with a service-oriented mindset
  • Experience working within project finance structures post-FID
  • A rigorous approach to risk management, regulatory compliance and contractual performance
