We are recruiting on behalf of an industry-leading company that offers a comprehensive total solution for clean energy, which spans generation, storage, and software. As pioneers in the energy sector, they manufacture and integrate components to construct power plants fuelled by batteries, displacing traditional coal and gas generators to enable sustainable viability for renewable energy sources like solar and wind.

What will you be doing?

  • Collaborate with the Sales team for sales initiation, technical sales support, and value engineering.
  • Analyse RFP documentation and assess project scope and risk.
  • Conduct technical presentations and provide clarifications to customers.
  • Understand, interpret, and relay customer requirements into BESS solution designs.
  • Liaise with internal teams to prepare accurate costing and financial analysis for tender submission.
  • Review and submit technical tender response bundles within deadlines to clients.
  • Follow up and analyze previous tender submissions to understand outcomes.
  • Ensure all opportunities, client, and account details are updated on the CRM platform.
  • Keep up with storage market requirements and trends.
  • Understand regional energy markets and associated revenue streams for storage systems.
  • Study competitive landscape for ongoing product development.
  • Use your own initiative and learnings to influence product development as it pertains to your customers’ needs.
  • Collaborate with customers and commercial teams to negotiate and finalize contracts.
  • Create tools and processes in collaboration with global colleagues to improve tender response efficiency and speed.

Are you the ideal candidate?

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Energy Engineering.
  • Fluency in business and technical English.
  • 5+ years of experience in a relevant field, preferably including experience working for a DNO or TSO.
  • Working knowledge of battery systems, power conversion systems, PPC/EMS/SCADA, and grid connection processes for jurisdictions under your management (UK or relevant regions in Europe).
  • Familiarity with grid operator processes.
  • Solid understanding of regulatory requirements and standards for BESS systems.
  • Experience in designing, engineering, and optimizing utility-scale energy storage systems.
  • Ability to size the Power Converter System (PCS) and battery system.
  • Familiarity with design concepts related to short circuit protection, conductor sizing, thermal systems, safety systems, etc.
  • Experience working efficiently in a multi-cultural, transitional multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Additional European languages (especially Italian, German, Spanish) will be a plus.
