We are recruiting on behalf of a leading player in the renewable energy industry, specifically within the Photovoltaic and Energy Storage sector. They are seeking a motivated, brave, and inspired Pre-Sales Technical Support Engineer to help expand their reach and support their growing customer base.

What will you be doing?

As the Pre-Sales Technical Support Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in technical support and customer relationship management. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading conversations with customers and local technical partners/suppliers to provide unique and creative solutions.
  • Designing improved application proposals for Photovoltaic and Energy Storage systems tailored to specific product types.
  • Supporting the Sales team by creating detailed technical proposals and assured project strategies to ensure success in bidding processes.
  • Coordinating internal resources and managing customer expectations during system commissioning and on-site training sessions.
  • Focusing on market feedback, identifying trends, and driving product performance optimizations for technical marketing activities.
  • Providing refreshed customer service support, including on-site technical assistance and training.

Are you the ideal candidate?

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, Automation, or a related discipline.
  • More than 3 years of relevant industry experience, preferably in a presales technical position within Photovoltaic or Energy Storage systems.
  • Strong knowledge of photovoltaic systems and energy storage design, with an understanding of the relevant business processes.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and focused attention to detail in proposal and project creation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Experience with automation, SCADA programming, or Power Systems Design (e.g., Power System Analysis, Grid analysis) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with product development tools such as PVsyst, Matlab, Digsilent, or PSS/E is preferred.
