Job Title: Senior Electrical and Automation Engineer

We are recruiting for a distinguished client in the maritime and offshore sectors who is seeking a Senior Electrical and Automation Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to work with an industry leader committed to innovation and excellence.

What will you be doing?

  • Providing day-to-day leadership of engineering staff, assigning projects, and monitoring progress.
  • Ensuring the delivery of high-quality service and maintaining excellent customer relations.
  • Performing detailed engineering reviews of plans for compliance with applicable Rules, Standards, Regulations, and contract requirements.
  • Devising new approaches to encountered problems and recommending necessary changes in methods, procedures, or design.
  • Monitoring the technical quality, consistency, and timeliness of all assigned projects.
  • Applying diversified knowledge of engineering principles in broad areas of technical responsibility.
  • Reviewing work of other engineers, providing guidance and training.
  • Advising staff on applying Rules and Regulations.
  • Preparing written responses to clients according to established procedures.
  • Liaising with other engineering specialists both internally and externally.
  • Monitoring performance, development potential, and training needs of assigned engineers.
  • Developing qualification statements, proposals, bids, and presentation materials.
  • Implementing and maintaining the company’s Quality System.
  • Preparing accurate billing for clients.

Are you the ideal candidate?

  • Industry: Maritime, Offshore, Engineering
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or recognized equivalent in electrical, control, or instrumentation engineering.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years in an appropriate technical discipline.
  • Skills:
    • Strong knowledge of related technical disciplines and applicable Rules and Regulations.
    • Excellent human relations skills for client contact and team mentorship.
    • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
    • Problem-solving skills for complex engineering issues.
    • Proficiency in planning and scheduling work assignments.
    • Familiarity with Quality and Environmental Management Systems (for internal candidates).
