Job Title: Experienced Project Manager

Who are we recruiting for?

Our client, a global leader in energy transition development with over 25 years of experience, is seeking an Experienced Project Manager to join their team. This innovative company specializes in renewable energy assets development and is on a mission to accelerate the global Energy Transition and promote sustainable growth. As part of their expansion into the UK market, they are looking for a dynamic individual to support and assist their Marine project development team on various opportunities in the UK and internationally.

What will you be doing?

As an Experienced Project Manager, you will play a crucial role in the early development stages of renewable energy projects, from initial site feasibility to project construction. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Coordinating activities related to high-power/energy projects in the maritime sector, ensuring compliance with industry-specific standards.
  • Leading internal and external teams to drive project success and meet key milestones.
  • Chairing regular progress meetings and providing clear communication to senior management.
  • Collaborating with other teams to address land acquisition, planning, and grid connection aspects.
  • Contributing to budget setting and supporting senior management with portfolio reporting.
  • Supporting multiple project initiatives, whether they are on-land or near-shore.

Are you the ideal candidate?

To excel in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

Essentials:

  • 5-10 years of experience in the energy or maritime sectors.
  • Strong understanding of marine requirements, regulations, technical standards, OEM offers, and design requirements.
  • Familiarity with the energy and power project lifecycles, particularly in large-scale and complex utility-scale projects.
  • Proficiency in using BIM, 3D CAD, 3D design, and digital twin software.
  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively.
  • Flexibility in your approach to work, including the willingness to travel regularly throughout the UK.
  • Experience in renewable energy project development is a plus.
  • Track record of supporting multiple project teams.

Desirables:

  • Ability to manage multiple business initiatives, clients, and projects simultaneously.
  • Adaptability to fast-paced development schedules.
