Executive Integrity are working with a pioneering and market leader in LNG/FSRUs.

What will you be doing?

Our client is currently seeking competent and motivated Marine Assurance Superintendent. This person will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and support timely management of the Marine Risk processes of terminal and ship Vetting and Compatibility reviews, database management, and technical support to the Organization.

The Marine Assurance Superintendent shall involved with operational aspects of vessel operations including STS transfer of LNG in support of worldwide projects.

Duties:

  • Ship/shore and ship/ship compatibility studies, ship and terminal Vetting assessments, and vessel acceptance.
  • Support the management team in continual improvement of the Vetting and Compatibility Processes and Procedures.
  • Support the tracking and scheduling of vessel STS equipment positioning, outfitting, testing, assessments, and logistics.
  • Participate in Feasibility, HAZID/HAZOP studies, risk assessments, shore side and crew training, HSSEQ and QA/QC objectives and reviews.
  • Cooperative and collaborative support during incident investigation, customer relations and business development presentations.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies, permitting agencies, port authorities, industry groups and customer business units to provide comprehensive overviews of STS capabilities.
  • Manage the relationship and provide the initial point of contact for lightering service providers, terminal operators, vessel owners and operators, shipping agents, pilots, mooring masters, equipment vendors, service providers and other third parties.
  • Support the Manager – Marine Risk on assigned duties and projects as needed by the company.

Are you the ideal candidate?

This person will be a experience seafarer ideally in the capacity of Master Mariner or Chief Officer. Shore base experience relevant to Marine Assurance/LNG STS is beneficial. Strong LNG background is required.

Requirements:

  • LNG experience on board either as Chief Officer or Master Mariner
  • LNG STS transfer experience
  • Shore side technical operations experience with ship owner, ship manager or ship operator is desirable.
  • Experience with vessel inspections and audits desirable.
  • Maritime auditor qualification/experience preferred.
