Who are we recruiting for?
Our client is a fast-growing ship owner seeking a Crewing Manager to join their leadership team and define the company’s global crewing strategy. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, this is a unique opportunity for a determined and inspired professional to drive excellence in recruitment, retention, welfare, and seafarer development across a diverse, international fleet.
What will you be doing?
- Developing and implementing a global crewing strategy that aligns with the company’s operational and cultural values
- Managing and influencing third-party ship management companies to ensure consistent, high-quality crewing delivery
- Driving initiatives that enhance retention, diversity, and the overall seafarer experience
- Leading the development of a strong employer value proposition (EVP) to position the company as an employer of choice
- Utilising data & crew feedback to enhance & improve Crewing operations
- Providing strategic insights and benchmarking against industry best practices to guide senior leadership decisions
Are you the ideal candidate?
- Proven experience in a senior crewing or maritime people leadership role within a ship owner or ship management environment
- Strong understanding of international crewing regulations and compliance requirements
- Skilled relationship builder with experience managing and influencing third-party partners
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
- Motivated, inspired leader passionate about seafarer welfare and long-term talent development
