Following a recent restructure, the business is seeking a Qualified and strategic Chief Technology Officer to lead the software development organisation and drive the next phase of platform evolution, performance, and scalability. Reporting directly to the Chief Executive Officer, this is a chance to influence the future of energy systems in a role combining high responsibility, rapid growth potential, and true purpose.
What will you be doing?
Spearheading the company’s software and infrastructure vision, ensuring systems are robust, scalable, and secure in 24/7 mission-critical environments
Leading multiple engineering teams with a strong focus on automation, system optimisation, and innovation across architecture, DevOps, and deployment
Building and maintaining a KPI-driven engineering culture that empowers teams to deliver against clear goals and OKRs
Translating complex business priorities into clear technical roadmaps and measurable deliverables
Fostering a creative, inspired, and high-ownership engineering environment that attracts and retains top talent
Are you the ideal candidate?
10+ years in senior technology leadership, ideally as CTO or VP Engineering in software-first businesses (energy, fintech, trading, or SaaS backgrounds all welcome)
Deep understanding of cloud-based architecture, real-time systems, or low-latency platforms
Proven experience setting up KPI frameworks, performance reviews, and tech strategy aligned with commercial goals
Fluent in English and ideally German, with excellent cross-functional communication skills
Based in Vienna or open to relocate – this role is hybrid with flexible in-office presence
