Job title: Chartering Manager
Location: London (Hybrid – 4 days office / 1 day WFH)
Who are we recruiting for?
A fast-growing, ship owner operating a mixed fleet of vessels. The business is expanding its commercial capability and is strengthening its chartering function with a hands-on Chartering Manager to drive revenue, utilisation, and market positioning.
What will you be doing?
- Secure employment for an assigned fleet at optimal rates and commercial terms
- Fix vessels in the spot market and actively market the fleet to brokers and clients
- Provide daily market intelligence, fixture updates, and informed market views
- Negotiate charter party terms in line with company standards
- Support chartering strategy and commercial decision-making
Are you the ideal candidate?
- Qualified chartering professional with 3–5 years’ experience in shipping
- Strong understanding of spot market dynamics and vessel fixing
- Confident, commercially minded negotiator
- Comfortable managing broker and client relationships
- Motivated, focused, and accountable for commercial outcomes
