Who are we recruiting for?
A discreet, well-backed shipping platform operating a growing fleet across. This is a unique opportunity to take ownership of a chartering desk and play a visible role in shaping commercial performance within a strong, fast-moving organisation.
What will you be doing?
- Leading chartering activity for an assigned fleet, fixing vessels at improved rates and optimal terms
- Driving a clear chartering and market strategy alongside senior commercial leadership
- Actively marketing the fleet to brokers and clients, building Assured and long-term relationships
- Negotiating charter parties and overseeing documentation, positions, and post-fixture administration
- Providing daily market intelligence, trends, and commercial insight to support strategic decisions
Are you the ideal candidate?
- An operations or chartering professional with 3–5 years’ experience in shipping
- Strong understanding of spot markets and chartering dynamics
- Confident negotiator with commercial instinct and client-facing credibility
- Comfortable mentoring junior chartering staff and supporting on-the-job development
- Focused, analytical, and confident using standard commercial and IT tools
