Job Summary:
As the Business Development Lead for Geotechnical Services, you will drive growth in this sector by expanding the customer base, leading a high-performing team, and developing strategic business plans. Collaborating closely with the Commercial Director, you’ll oversee commercial activities, secure profitable sales, and establish long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sales Development: Implement business initiatives to capitalize on competitive strengths and secure sales agreements.
- Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong connections with clients, partners, and regulatory bodies to drive future business.
- Customer Expansion: Identify new business opportunities to grow the customer base and ensure profitable sales.
- Key Account Management: Establish and manage KAM initiatives, ensuring team performance aligns with sales targets and KPIs.
- Market Analysis: Conduct research to adapt offerings based on market needs.
- Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of Business Development Managers.
- Business Planning: Develop strategic business plans for the geotechnical line to drive long-term profitability.
- Client Negotiations: Lead negotiations with clients to secure favorable deals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s in Geology, Geotechnical Engineering, or related field.
- 10+ years in offshore geotechnical services with proven business development experience.
- Strong leadership, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.
- Knowledge of the global offshore geotechnical landscape.
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally.
