Who are we recruiting for?

We are recruiting for a leading gas shipowner who is seeking a Assistant Technical Superintendent. This unique position will assist the current Technical Superintendent in the day-to-day activities of ship management, providing crucial support and ensuring smooth operations.

What will you be doing?

As the Assistant Technical Superintendent, you will:

• Provide engineering advice to support the Technical Superintendent in maintaining vessel performance.
• Assist with clerical tasks and administrative roles related to ship management.
• Monitor and report on vessel maintenance and repair activities.
• Coordinate with ship crews to ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards.
• Support in preparing and maintaining technical documentation.
• Assist in budget preparation and cost control for vessel operations.
• Aid in the planning and execution of dry-docking and other major repair activities.

Are you the ideal candidate?

The ideal candidate will be:

• Qualified with a degree in Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
• Experienced with at least 2 years in ship management or a similar technical role in the maritime industry.
• Proficient in using ship management software and familiar with industry regulations.
• A strong communicator with excellent organizational skills.
• Motivated and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Detail-oriented, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
• Determined and resilient, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
