Who are we recruiting for?
A highly regarded, international maritime organisation is seeking a Qualified, Motivated, and Commercially Astute Legal Counsel to join its award-winning, globally recognised legal and compliance function. This is a unique opportunity to work at the heart of a successful, fast-paced business supporting complex shipping operations and strategic growth initiatives.
What will you be doing?
- Lead and negotiate a diverse range of commercial agreements across global operations
- Support high-value disputes including charter parties, shipbuilding and transactional matters
- Partner with senior stakeholders to deliver strong, commercially focused legal advice
- Drive improvements across legal processes, compliance frameworks, and governance structures
- Mentor and guide junior legal professionals, building a focused and high-performing team
Are you the ideal candidate?
- Qualified lawyer (England & Wales, Singapore or similar common law jurisdiction)
- 5+ years’ experience in private practice or in-house within an international environment
- Exposure to maritime/shipping is advantageous but not essential
- Determined, assured, and confident managing complex legal matters independently
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills with a creative and solutions-driven mindset
