Job Title: Head of Corporate Development
Location: Singapore

The Opportunity
A fast scaling, investor backed maritime technology group is now building a true corporate development engine after an intense period of product build and early commercialisation. With four launched businesses across safety wearables, telehealth, mental wellness and fintech for seafarers, they are shifting from organic growth and shareholder funding to structured partnerships, strategic investments and future fundraising.
Reporting directly to the CEO, this is the senior hire that will shape how the group grows, who they partner with globally and how they unlock capital. It is a build role, not a replacement, and will act as a de facto external-facing second to the CEO. The mandate is broad, commercial and strategic, with significant influence over the long term value of the platform.

The Impact You Will Have

  • Own the group growth agenda across M&A, strategic investments, JVs and partnerships, from origination through to execution and integration.
  • Architect and lead capital planning and future fundraising at group and operating company level, ensuring the right capital at the right time.
  • Act as a key face of the business with shareholders, banks, institutional and strategic investors, shaping the equity story and investor narrative.
  • Advise and challenge portfolio leadership teams on strategy, capital deployment and performance, intervening in special situations and turnarounds where needed.
  • Build and curate a high value global network across maritime, financial institutions and ecosystem partners that accelerates access, distribution and exits.

What Success Looks Like

  • At least 10 years in corporate development, strategic finance, investment banking, PE or VC with clear operator-side exposure and closed transactions.
  • Strong international profile with the credibility to face off to shipowners, ship managers, founders, boards and capital providers in high stakes discussions.
  • Evidence of designing and executing growth strategies in digital or tech enabled businesses, not just analysing them.
  • Comfortable moving between detail and strategy: you can model, negotiate and also define where the portfolio should play next.
  • Personally aligned with improving seafarer welfare and able to translate that mission into compelling commercial and investment cases.

What Is on Offer
This is a rare chance to build the corporate development function in a backed platform at the inflection point between product build and scale. The role offers direct access to influential strategic shareholders, future equity and fundraising events, and the opportunity to shape how an emerging category in maritime welfare consolidates and grows globally. Autonomy, visibility and impact are high; average performers will not be considered.
