Who are we recruiting for?

Our client, a highly respected global maritime authority, is seeking a Qualified and Motivated Marine Investigator to join their investigations department. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-profile marine safety cases involving internationally registered vessels, contributing directly to the protection of seafarers, ships, and the marine environment.

What will you be doing?

• Lead and manage marine casualty investigations from on-scene response to final reporting.

• Conduct interviews, gather evidence, and perform detailed root cause analyses.

• Draft high-quality, compliant investigation reports with targeted safety recommendations.

• Represent the organisation in industry forums, presenting findings and safety insights.

• Collaborate with global stakeholders to identify and implement safety improvements.

Are you the ideal candidate?

• Maritime academy graduate with senior Deck or Engineering license.

• Minimum 10 years’ shipboard operational experience.

• Strong knowledge of IMO Casualty Investigation Code and international maritime instruments.

• Skilled in root cause analysis, technical writing, and stakeholder engagement.

• Confident leader with proven investigative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
