Job title: Site Manager New Build LNG.
Location: East China.
Who are we recruiting for?
Our client is seeking a Marine Site Manager to join their team. As a Marine Site Manager, you will be responsible for managing the project execution at the shipyard and ensuring the delivery of safe and timely new build LNG vessels owned or managed by our client.
What will you be doing?
- Manage day-to-day operations at the site and ensure that the vessels are built according to specification and in good quality to general shipbuilding practice.
- Ensure that the head office feels properly supported during building of the vessels.
- Assist in the review of plans and equipment with ship designer, yard, Class, and New building department.
- Attend to FAT test etc. when required.
- Prepare new building vessel delivery in coordination with the HO.
- Ensure sufficient, competent and cost-efficient supervision team at the yard.
- Report weekly and daily about building progress to Head Office.
- Ensure analyzing and reporting non-conformities on a daily basis from the site team and follow up.
- Plan the scheduled deliveries of the vessel.
- Should demonstrate the clear ownership of the project.
- Administration of office expenses and activities of site team.
- Plan and ensure that the onsite inspections and tests are carried out satisfactorily.
Are you the ideal candidate?
- Degree and/or diploma in any Engineering disciplines from any recognized university.
- Minimum of 10 Years relevant Working Experience with 5 years spent in Project management.
- Well-Versed in Project Management and in Shipbuilding Construction.
- Able to manage and Lead a Team during Project Execution.
- Degree in Naval Architecture (preferred)/ Marine Engineering.
- Systematic and capable of handling the documentation during building shipbuilding.
- Hands-on and interested in ensuring the ships are built to the right quality.
- Committed to meeting deadlines, budgets, and the expectations from the global organization.
- Good at keeping focus on complex issues and enjoy taking ownership and responsibility.
- Outgoing and capable of handling internal and external stakeholders.
- Thrives in a dynamic, international environment.
- High levels of record keeping skills.
- Sailing experience preferred but not a must.
- 174 cubic Meter LNG carrier experience MK 3 or NO96 container experience is a plus.
