What will you be doing?
As a Senior Project Developer, you will:
- Lead the development of Energy Efficiency projects, managing energy audits, modeling, and retro-commissioning studies to support the sales teams.
- Provide guidance and leadership to junior staff, ensuring projects meet budgets, timelines, and conform to federal and state laws and specifications.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to identify and recommend energy-saving strategies that achieve more energy-efficient operations.
- Oversee bidding processes, negotiate subcontractor costs, and support construction teams in the implementation of energy conservation measures.
- Analyze and interpret energy data using engineering software, and develop technical reports, such as PFA and IGA, in compliance with industry standards.
- Engage with clients, stakeholders, and third parties, communicating project expectations clearly and ensuring effective collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
- Conduct preliminary project site walks to identify Energy Efficiency Measures (EEMs) and develop customized solutions tailored to customer needs.
- Support the sales team by developing project pricing, cash flow analyses, and technical expertise during presentations and meetings with customers.
- Innovate and improve the development process through consistent communication with peers and stakeholders, while participating in industry conferences and customer interactions.
Are you the ideal candidate?
You are the ideal candidate if you have:
- A Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Science, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in project development and 2 years in energy engineering.
- Proficiency in relevant computer applications such as AutoCAD, Revit, Visio, Procore, MS Project, and Microsoft Office applications.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage development and construction budgets, and effectively work with subcontractors and A/E teams.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to speak effectively before customers and staff.
- The ability to work independently, manage time efficiently, and prioritize tasks under deadline pressure.
