Whom are we recruiting for?

LMC is a world-class engineering consultancy specialising in the design and provision of mooring and subsea systems for Floating Wind, FPSOs, FLNGs, Tidal, and Wave Energy systems.EPC with a very solid and ambitious strategy, and plans in the UK. Their consultancy services include Third-party verification, life extension, risk assessments, FEED, offshore installation engineering, structural analysis or riser and umbilical global analysis.

What will you be doing ?

The engineer will be working within the Naval Architect department on floating wind projects. For the floating wind jobs, there is a real cross over with the structural department as well, so this is a close liaison. The engineer will be performing complex and detailed design of floating wind platforms (semi-submersibles, TLPs, barges) using fully coupled aero-elastic-servo analysis in the Orca flex software. The engineer will also support the lead engineer with other mooring, riser and power cable analysis.
As they are a relatively small company, the engineer will have much insight into the complete projects, will be required to interact with the clients and produce project reports.
They are an Consultancy and EPC company, so the engineer will be working on projects from concept selection, right through to detailed design, fabrication and installation.

Are you the ideal candidate?

* Naval Architect or Structural Engineer Degree (Mechanical/Aero can also be considered);

* 5 years + experience in floating structures design and analysis (with at least 3 years in floating offshore Wind);

* Mooring, hydrostatic, hydrodynamic analysis experience;

* Experience with DNV SESAM software and/or experience with ANSYS and AQWA software for floating structures;

* Experience in wind turbine and controller modelling in SESAM / Orcaflex / Bladed software;

* Experience in full aero-elastic-hydro-servo coupled modelling;

* Experience with DNV floating wind rules, regulations and Design Load Cases;

* Experience in Fatigue analysis (structures);
