Job title: Senior Mechanical Marine Engineer
Location: London or Southampton (New Forest)

We are recruiting for a global leader harnessing the power of wind to provide sustainability on shipping propulsion. Pushing the boundaries of sustainable commercial shipping with plans for ever-growing product development. Our client is a pioneering company with a mission to dramatically reduce CO2 released from the maritime industry. They are now looking to expand their project team to support the next stages of high-speed growth.
What will you be doing?
You will be responsible for mechanical design and development of their equipment, in terms of functionality, efficiency and cost effectiveness.
Specifying design improvements for development by the internal engineering team or with external consultants as required.
Working with existing and new manufacturers for supply of the technology in line with designs and specifications, and to the quality and cost required by the company.
Contributing to the development of operation and maintenance manuals and supporting clients with maintenance requirements.
Are you the ideal candidate?
Master's degree in mechanical or similar engineering discipline (minimum 2:1)
Strong attention to detail, team player and an appetite for innovation.
Mechanical design, ideally of industrial machinery for harsh environments such as marine or offshore equipment, trains, cranes, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, mining equipment or wind turbines.
Experience of working with Classification Societies and applying their rules and regulations for designs would be advantageous
