Job title: Senior Geophysicist

What will you be doing?
The Senior Geophysicist will have the opportunity to work throughout the lifecycle of renewable energy projects and join a highly motivated team of geoscience experts with a plentitude of training and knowledge transfer opportunities.
Lead and undertake geophysical interpretation, modelling and analysis for subsea infrastructure in the nearshore and offshore marine environment
Participate in engineering, consultancy and advisory projects
Work collaboratively within an integrated geoscience team comprising GIS, engineering geology and geotechnical disciplines
Interface with, and lead support for, other disciplines within the company, such as marine warranty, marine engineering, hydrodynamics, structural engineering, software and rig moves
To write comprehensive and detailed reports, and document reviews
Liaise with clients to ensure timely delivery of project deliverables and customer satisfaction
Identify, agree and pursue research goals for personal and team development
Provide advice to members of the team and internal and external clients
Assist in the preparation of proposals for new work
Are you the ideal candidate?
Degree / Master's Degree in Geophysics, Geology or related discipline
Experience in offshore wind considered highly advantageous
Strong experience in the interpretation of offshore geophysical data in producing geomodels, particularly within integrated geoscience teams
Experience of providing geophysical guidance and input to the subsea engineering process to define and control design and construction/installation risk
Working knowledge of geophysical data acquisition methods, including MBES, SSS, SBP and high resolution (2D/3D) seismic
Demonstrate competence in key geophysical software packages such as DUG Insight, IHS Kingdom, Petrel, CODA, SonarWIZ
Understanding of key geological features and geohazards and how these impact subsea infrastructure
