What Will You Be Doing?

As a Senior Ecologist and Team Lead, your role will encompass a range of responsibilities aimed at fostering team growth, ensuring technical excellence, and driving successful project outcomes. Your duties will include:

• Planning and allocating tasks within the ecology team
• Overseeing the quality and accuracy of the team’s work
• Managing team performance and offering training and support
• Collaborating with the Ecology Manager and other Senior Consultants to integrate and optimize performance across teams
• Ensuring technical excellence and adherence to best practices across the Ecology Team

Are You the Ideal Candidate?

The ideal candidate for this role will possess the following qualifications, skills, and competencies:

• BSc and/or MSc in Ecology or a related field
• Membership in a relevant professional body such as the Chartered Institute of Ecology and Environmental Management (CIEEM)
• Proficiency in various ecological survey methodologies and assessments, including Phase 1, UKHab, NVC, and European Protected Species surveys
• Strong project management skills and experience in EIA and HRA report production
• Experience in habitat management, ornithology, and EcoW project management
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
