What will you be doing?

Anemoi are seeking motivated and experienced Sales Director to join the team at Anemoi Marine Technologies. The Sales Director will play a crucial role in supporting their sales strategy through driving negotiations through to contract closing and expanding our market presence in the shipping industry. This position requires a deep understanding of the industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record in achieving sales targets. The Sales Director will be responsible for developing and executing sales plans, managing a sales team, fostering strong relationships with clients, and contributing to the company’s overall growth and success.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Take a hands-on approach to negotiate and close contracts with a strong commercial approach
  • Develop and execute the sales strategy to achieve company growth targets and maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Identify new business opportunities and target key industry players, including shipowners, shipbuilders, and shipping operators.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, demonstrating an in-depth understanding of their needs and providing innovative solutions.
  • Lead and manage a high-performing sales team, providing guidance, support, and coaching to achieve individual and team sales targets.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, marketing, and operations, to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives and deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to identify areas for improvement and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and presentations to the executive team, providing insights and recommendations for sales performance optimization.
  • Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and exhibitions to enhance brand visibility and generate new business leads.

Are you the ideal candidate?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, or a related field.
  • MBA is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering or similar is preferred
  • Proven track record of at least 10-15 years in sales, preferably within the shipping or renewable energy industry.
  • Strong understanding of the shipping industry, including knowledge of key players, market trends, and regulatory landscape.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving business growth.
  • Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team to achieve outstanding results.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on finding innovative solutions for customer needs.
  • Strong negotiation and presentation skills, with the ability to influence key stakeholders.
  • Passion for sustainability and a genuine interest in driving positive change in the shipping industry.
