Who are we recruiting for?

Executive Integrity are pleased to be working with a a true market leader within Water and Waste Management Systems within the Maritime industry. Our client provide a wide range of products across various sectors including but not limited to Cruise, Commercial, and Government. This is an excellent opportunity to join their team as they are looking to hire an Installation Engineer primarily working on MBR Systems.

What will you be doing?

  • Leading retrofit projects on active seagoing vessels and new build projects in shipyards for the MBR Systems.
  • Provide on site management, coordinating with other suppliers and internal stakeholders, working with and managing sub-contractor labour, sometimes up to 20 people.
  • Proactively studying and understanding the project drawings including piping and instrumentation drawings, full fabrication drawings and installation wiring diagrams.
  • Performing pre-commissioning checks including flooding the tanks to ensure zero leakage, electrical rotation of pumps and functional check of blowers etc.
  • Assisting with electrical and mechanical design and system upgrades as required.
  • Confidently making modifications to outline design plans, when necessary, to solve unexpected design challenges given the local conditions onboard.
  • Performing pre-commissioning checks including flooding the tanks to ensure zero leakage, electrical rotation of pumps and functional check of blowers etc.

Are you the ideal candidate?

  • A proven background within the marine sector, preferably within a shipyard building engineering environment.
  • A formal qualification within marine engineering e.g. HNC/HND level or NVQ3 with experience in maintaining and installing electromechanical systems or relevant experience.
  • Understanding of Electronic and PLC Systems would be advantageous.
  • Full understanding of Electrical and P&ID drawings, and ability to amend and process complex drawings.
  • Excellent customer and colleague communication skills with fluency in English, both written and verbal.
  • Able to frequently travel and undertake overseas work, projects tend to be 1-2 months in length.
  • Valid Driving License and Passport.
