Who are we recruiting for?

Our client is seeking passionate talent to lead their renewable energy business. You'll be joining their team at an exciting time, leading and delivering work on some of the world's most iconic offshore renewable energy projects. The client are a leading shipping and navigation consultancy and technology company working across maritime energy, transport and infrastructure sectors. Their mission is to help their clients understand, assess and mitigate maritime risk and impacts to ensure sustainable use and development of the maritime environment.

What will you be doing?

Business strategy and development:

  • Develop and implement 'Energy - Renewables' strategy and accompanying action plan.

  • Deepen the company profile in the sector through pro-active business development, marketing, communication and promotion including:

  • Attend and participate in industry conferences, events and industry groups.

  • Maintain a regular drumbeat of marketing/communication content.

  • Gather and act on market intelligence. Lead and support enquiries together with the development of proposals.

  • Develop and maintain relationships with their clients and supply chain.

Project delivery and lead:

  • Provide project director and management roles across their portfolio of projects.

  • Technical oversight/contributions (in a relevant area of your existing expertise - a shipping & navigation background is not essential - they will help develop this where needed).

  • Stakeholder and client interface and management through project delivery.

Team growth and leadership:

  • Work with the team to ensure an understanding of the business strategy and action plan.

  • Coach and develop the growing team - providing functional/line management.

  • Recruit and retain talent to support team growth and development.

Are you the ideal candidate?

  • Skills, technical expertise and experience in your professional area. For example - you might be an engineer, scientist, environment or risk professional or have operational/strategic experience in renewables.

  • Highly motivated, proactive and responsibility-seeking individual who is curious and hungry to progress.

  • Maritime and consultancy interest (experience in the maritime domain is great but your interest is the key!).

What's in it for you?

  • A great package including a generous pension scheme.

  • Freedom, autonomy and responsibility.

  • A flat organisation with quick decision-making.

  • Mentorship and support in developing your career and learning.

  • Work / life balance and support in flexible working.
