What will you be doing?

As Head of Fleet Management, you will be responsible for a team of Superintendents and other office departments to ensure all assets are managed to the highest standard. You will have responsibility for technical management of the fleet.

Your responsibilities and tasks include:

  • Act as the internal and external contact person for all asset management-related domains represented in the fleet team.
  • Look for best practices and improvement initiatives for each of these domains.
  • Monitor and follow-up on assets' technical matters (requirements, inspections, dry docks, long-term maintenance planning…).
  • Define and review yearly OPEX budget and monitor the actual cost and forecast
  • Monitor that assets are managed in line with the company's HSEQ standards (incl. follow up of TMSA, SIRE/CDI compliance).
  • Ensure efficient and consistent crew planning and make sure crew (competency and training) requirements are met. Provide input and assist in crew evaluations.
  • Report to client and/or top management about important events, KPIs, planning, management-related
  • People management related tasks for the team (incl. organisation and follow-up of work, defining team member's objectives and appraise performance).
  • Commercial responsibilities (incl. assistance in tendering process and development of new business proposals).

Are you the ideal candidate?

The ideal candidate needs to have leadership experience as a Senior Technical Superintendent or Fleet Manager with strong knowledge and experience with LNG/LPG vessels.

  • Preferably a Master degree in Engineering, Nautical Sciences or Naval Architecture.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Marine or Technical Superintendent, or equivalent experience.
  • You are able to guide, motivate and coach your team members, both on board and at the office.
  • You are able to take fast and correct decisions in a dynamic context.
  • You have strong organization skills and at the same time can go in details of the work process in order to control and optimize.
  • Basic knowledge of administration, accounting and logistics.
  • Knowledge of shipping, the marine industry, people management and general management principles.
  • Knowledge of the structure and internal (working) procedures of the organization.
  • Extensive knowledge of international marine legislation, statutory regulations, the gas transport industry, vessels maintenance, ships repairs.
