Job title: Global Decarbonisation Manager

Our client are a globally recognised Engineering company that specialises in environmental engineering, specifically supplying Clean Technology, Power Solutions and Asset Optimisation services to the maritime sector.
Our client are experts in providing advanced technological solutions, particularly in retrofitting of new environmentally friendly clean technology and re-engineering current assets to have a greener and more efficient yield.
What will you be doing?
Reporting directly to the CEO, our client is seeking a Global Decarbonisation Manager to join a forward looking and creative Business Development team working towards decarbonising the current global marine fleet. This person will be responsible for global marketing and strategy of new Green Tech. This person will be part of the Business Development team, responsible for creating commercial packages of our solutions with strong value propositions that address customers' needs, then developing the sales pipeline.
The position is a senior leadership role and will frequently be asked to present to the board of directors with respect to market conditions and opportunities.
Develop and implement Business Development road map related to the modelling upgrades offering vs. the current and upcoming Marine Decolonisation solutions
Develop concrete customer's vessels assessments oriented towards our clients value proposition.
Through a Data Driven Design approach, guide specific customers' decolonisation path benchmarking them against the market requirements, the environmental legislation frame, and economic implications.
Finding out about new Green Tech (not existing)
Highlighting decolonisation - building relationships with other OEM and clean technology companies
Producing strategy and marketing material
Speaking at maritime/shipping events, stressing the importance of Green Technologies
Highlighting ROI of new products
Offer solutions to support ship owners with energy efficiency and decolonisation journey
Are you the ideal candidate?
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Project Manager with a background in Marine Engineering. Project-based experience is required in areas such as offshore, marine, shipping and Oil & Gas. You will require excellent communication skills (verbal and written), negotiating skills and someone who is a self-starter.
A sincere and strong interest in contributing through Project Services offering to Marine Power decarbonisation strategy
In depth understanding of the Marine Market; Customers, and upcoming legislation/ trends that will impact them.
In depth understanding of customers value proposition based on the decarbonisation paths and system offerings
Proven leader within the maritime decarbonisation space
Strong technical knowledge in marine systems is beneficial
Previous experience in simulation of Marine systems
Come from a major shipping company or similar
Strong collaboration skills, customer service mindset and team player with a willingness to work across organisational boundaries and directly with sales and customers
Good product knowledge and solid business and customer understanding
Out of the box thinking and innovative mindset
Good financial understanding & commercial orientation
Fluent written and spoken English.
