Executive Integrity is working alongside a globally recognised and leading Ship Management company with over a presence in over 25 countries. Our client provides full range of ship management and maritime services to the commercial shipping, cruise, energy, and defence industries.
What will you be doing?
Our client is seeking a commercially focused and driven candidate to manage the team within the Ship Management Commercial Team to drive our client's commercial agenda and achieve the objectives set. This person will be reporting to the Head of Commercial concentrating throughout Europe and the Middle East. This person will be responsible for driving the development of new business leads for assigned offices and ship management opportunities and proposals.
Overall responsibility for all Board, PE and Group commercial reporting, including vessel forecasting.
Responsible for market insights, OPEX benchmarking initiatives - internal and external - and commercial analytics.
Leading the central group bid team and responsible for effective implementation of bid processes.
Leading the development of ship management proposals and tender submissions in the region of competence. Including coordination of the Bid Team, liaising with the local MD's and technical directors, and developing the most compelling proposals and supporting material.
Responsible for retention and attrition management - identifying and pursuing retention opportunities within the regional portfolio.
Responsible for all existing customers' commercial actions for the portfolio of offices that you are responsible for - including Quarterly Internal Reviews, Quarterly
Support the group-wide implementation of the commercial operating model for Ship Management with emphasis on Marine Services and Crewing.
Work closely with Accounting and the Sales team
Are you the ideal candidate?
The ideal candidate will have experience within commercial shipping and ideally have a technical awareness specifically in ship management. This person will have up to 3-5 years experience minimum in a related area and have the ability to work on tight time scales. The required candidate will need traits of a leader and able to influence and assertively get results. Someone from a Finance/Brokering background will also be accepted.
Requirements:
Candidates must possess at least a Degree/Diploma in related field of Ship Management, Engineering and Finance.
Experience and technical awareness specifically in ship management.
Excellent interpersonal and management skills.
Able to work to tight timescales particularly when developing proposals.
Substantial experience using MS Office including Word and PowerPoint.
Team and action-oriented; proactive in prioritising own workload and assigned areas of responsibility to others.
Client facing experience.
Able to influence assertively to get results.
Strong business acumen and a proven track record of success.
A hard-working attitude and a willingness to develop
Professional approach coupled with strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent verbal, written communication, and presentation skills
Ability to work on own initiative.
