Job Title: Renewable Energy Business Development Leader – Battery Storage

We are on the hunt for a successful and motivated Renewable Energy Business Development Leader on behalf of our client, a global leader in the battery storage sector. This is a unique opportunity for an accomplished professional to join a vibrant and growing team dedicated to advancing the renewable energy landscape across Europe.

What will you be doing?

As a Renewable Energy Business Development Leader, you will be:

• Originating and managing large-scale Battery Storage and Solar-plus-Storage project development opportunities, ensuring site control, interconnection, and permitting processes are successfully navigated.
• Directing project development activities to achieve Notice to Proceed (NTP) status by leading relationships with developers, authorities, landowners, grid operators, offtakers, and advisors.
• Leading commercial negotiations and deal structuring for project acquisitions or partnership agreements, such as Development Services Agreements or Joint Development Agreements.
• Coordinating with cross-functional teams, including Legal, Technical Solution, Finance, and Project Delivery, to ensure project success.
• Driving financial modeling efforts to assess and optimize project economics.
• Prospecting and securing greenfield and brownfield sites for future development.
• Staying informed on market developments, industry policies, and regulations to identify and capitalize on new business opportunities.

Are you the ideal candidate?

You are the ideal candidate if you have:

• A strong track record of successfully negotiating and closing commercial transactions with stakeholders such as Landlords, Developers, Utilities, Technical Advisors, Regulatory Agencies, and Offtakers.
• A BS degree (MBA or relevant master’s degree preferred).
• Deep knowledge of the Solar/Storage industry, including regional regulations and market mechanisms.
• Experience in areas like IPP project acquisition, community solar, national and regional grid analysis, multinational environments, legal frameworks, and full-cycle development is highly desirable.
